Musical theatre awards presented to local thespians

The third annual St. Louis High School Musical Theatre Awards winners were announced June 2 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. The winners were named in 14 categories, plus the WOW! performance awards and special recognition awards. Timberland High placed in the “Outstanding Musical” category for its production of “The Addams Family.”

Senior receives scholarship for golf skills

Timberland High senior Collin Rooney has been named the recipient of a Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies from The Western Golf Association. The Evans Scholarship is a full, four-year, tuition and housing scholarship for golf caddies and is awarded based on a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character.

Students move to international STEM competition

Students in the Holt, Liberty and Timberland High HOSA [Future Healthcare Professionals] chapters competed in the Missouri HOSA State Leadership Conference at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla on March 25-26. Nineteen students also took home awards and qualified to move on internationally.
