O’FALLON Public hearing scheduled  The city of O’Fallon will conduct a public hearing beginning at 3 pm. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre [City Hall], 100 North Main Street, concerning the Fiscal Year 2017 Annual Action Plan for O’Fallon’s Community Development Block Grant Program.  The hearing will be held in the Multi-purpose Room on the first floor. Housing permit activity remains steady in St. Louis, St. Charles counties

Building new houses remains popular in the St. Louis region’s two largest counties so far this year but interest in apartments and condominiums is also up. The total number of housing permits issued for new homes in St. Charles and St. Louis counties for the first eight months of 2016 is up compared to last year at this time. O’Fallon looks at allowing poultry as pets, close to home food source

The city of O’Fallon is looking at potentially allowing poultry to be kept as pets in non-agricultural areas. At a City Council work session on Aug. 14, Lenore Toser-Aldaz, assistant city manager, made a presentation regarding O’Fallon’s animal control code relating to poultry, which she defined as domestic chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys.
