Boys high school swimming Swimming is not only fun for Adam Grimm, but a way of life. Grimm, a junior swimmer for Fort Zumwalt West, has been swimming for 12 years. Migdal to turn professional

Joe Migdal’s swan song to amateur golf finds in him playing in the nation’s top event. Migdal will be playing in the U.S. Amateur set for Aug. 11-17 at the Atlanta Athletic Club. A De Smet Jesuit and University of Central Missouri graduate, Migdal earned his way into the nation’s top amateur tournament with a first-place finish in the 36-hole qualifier at the Jefferson City Country Club. St. Peters golfer wins 55th Junior Girls Championship

For Logan Otter, the summer golf season is going great. Otter, who lives in St. Peters, will be a senior this fall at John Burroughs, the defending Class 1 state champion girls golf team. Last fall, she finished third at the state tournament – and her resume has gotten brighter since winning the Missouri Women’s Golf Association 55th annual Junior Girls Championship at WingHaven Country Club in O’Fallon. Sports Briefs: Local triathletes earn right to compete on world stage

Local triathletes earn right to compete on world stage Three area athletes have qualified to represent the United States in the world triathlon championships. The athletes recently participated in the USA Triathlon Long Course National Championships in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Chris Beuer, of Chesterfield; Jen Hankins, of St. Louis; and Matthew Zupan, of Wildwood, each earned spots on Team USA by finishing in the top 20 in their respective age group categories in the Half Ironman distance race.
