Fort Zumwalt North managed to control everything in their first 12 games as they won each week this fall. Saturday at Pattonville was out of their control nearly from the start. Dardenne Prairie considers allowing bowhunting for deer, target shooting to help deal with growing deer population

Getting that trophy buck for some Dardenne Prairie residents may become as easy as drawing a bead with bow and arrow in the backyard. That’s not the case right now.  But the city’s Board of Aldermen is considering adding a new ordinance that includes a section allowing regulated bowhunting in the city. The city now doesn’t allow unregulated deer hunting with firearms because it “is dangerous to residents” according to the new ordinance. Planning and zoning commission recommends denial of trash transfer station near Family Arena

A proposed solid waste transfer site near the Family Arena failed to get the endorsement of the St. Charles County Planning and Zoning Commission, which recommended denial of a conditional use permit needed for it to operate. The commission voted 9 against with one abstention against the conditional use permit at their Nov. 15 meeting. The commission’s recommendation now goes to the County Council, which could make a final decision on the conditional use permit at their Dec. 4 meeting.
