O’Fallon to host police dog trials

At the Feb. 13 O’Fallon City Council meeting, police officers Keith Lewis and Dominick Misuraca announced that the city of O’Fallon has again been selected as a location for Police Dog Trials. The event is scheduled for June 11-14 and is open for the public to attend.

Doctors say electronic health records cause frustration, burnout

The transition from paper to electronic health records [EHRs] was intended to make it easier for health professionals to access and share patient health information, improve efficiency and reduce medical errors. But it has had the opposite impact … leading to increased workloads, frustration and burnout among doctors, according to a recent cooperative study between Yale and Stanford universities, the Mayo Clinic and the American Medical Association.

Journalism students from Francis Howell North High and Barnwell Middle traveled to the Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Washington, D.C. Nov. 21-24. The students attended learning sessions, participated in competitions and brought home a few awards.
