Fort Zumwalt South kickers primed for another Final Four run

14 players return for the Fort Zumwalt South soccer Bulldogs club that went 22-6-1 in 2016, and made the school’s second trip to the Class 3 Tournament last November. Zumwalt South finished third in the Class 3 tournament. Fort Zumwalt East athletic director Tim Grimes found out at the end of the 2016-17 school year that current girls soccer coach Brad Fischer was moving on from the program. Luckily for Grimes, he didn’t have to conduct an exhaustive search to find Fischer’s successor.

Roberts returning to St. Dominic as athletic director

Only two years after he left, Kevin Roberts is returning home to St. Dominic High School. Roberts has been hired as the new athletic director at the school replacing longtime AD Jim Welby. Welby, the school’s athletic director the past five years, was recently named the school’s president and assumed those duties after outgoing school president Catherine Fetter retired on June 30. A 2001 De Smet alum, Roberts, who also coached the Crusaders boys basketball team to a 15-12 mark during the 2014-15 season. Hart returns to coaching baseball with Missouri Gators

Three years after leaving the local high school baseball scene, Lin Hart, Jr. is returning to the coaching profession and soon will be again teaching prep level players the game and preparing them for varsity level play and beyond. Hart, who coached freshman the freshman team at Timberland High School is thrilled to be coming back into the game after a self-imposed break in 2014.
