In celebration of National Drinking Water Week, Wentzville senior art students participated in a contest to win scholarships from the city of Wentzville’s Water Division. Creatively implementing the designated “Dr. Seuss” theme, the students painted fire hydrants to be displayed throughout Historic Downtown Wentzville.

Fort Zumwalt honors educator, employee

Kelsie Ballmann, special education teacher at Rock Creek Elementary, was named Fort Zumwalt School District Educator of the Year. Tony Perotti, facilities Maintenance II at East High School, was also named Fort Zumwalt School District Employee of the Year. Both were nominated and selected by peers. Ballmann previously graduated from West High in 2008 and was one of the first recipients of the Fort Zumwalt Education Foundation’s Grow Your Own Teacher award.
