2017 National Merit Scholarship winners announced

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced its first group of winners in the 62nd Annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Three of the winners from Missouri attend school in the Fort Zumwalt and Francis Howell districts.

Wentzville students earn awards at FCCLA Leadership Conference

Students from Holt, Liberty and Timberland high schools in the Wentzville School District competed at the 71st Annual Missouri Family, Career and Community Leaders of America [FCCLA] State Leadership Conference, March 19-21 at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach. More than 1,600 high school students attended the conference, which carried a ‘Channel into Leadership’ theme. Workshops focused on college and career, leadership skills, anti-bullying and the impact of technology in education, career and families. More than 720 students participated in 30 competitive events, including Early Childhood Education, Entrepreneurship, Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Career Investigation, Chapter Service Projects and Sports Nutrition. Duchesne’s Dream Home Sweepstakes supports student needs

By NEZ SAVALA The annual Duchesne High School Dream Home Sweepstakes is underway, with the winner announced at the end of April. Ticket sales are limited to 3,500 to increase odds at winning a $120,000 grand prize.
