Mexican cuisine with a lake view. What could be better?
If the food is any one of dozens of dishes on the robust menu at El Maguey in Lake Saint Louis, theanswer is nothing.
“I love the view – from the inside, too. So relaxing and the food is so good. Guacamole and Queso Fundido to start. Then, a Chicken Chimichanga for me,” says Rebecca B., of O’Fallon.
“It’s a great place to take friends and family when they come to visit,” her husband, Jon, added. “The service is always fast and friendly and the quality is great. Their salsa is the best and the fajitas are fantastic, always fresh. I don’t mean a piece of chicken heated up and put on a skillet. I mean your going to have to wait 10 or 15 minutes while they make it fresh to order, which is fine because you have chips, salsa and queso fundido to enjoy!”
Whether you’re gathering for a reasonably priced family dinner or getting away for adult libations shared lakeside, El Maguey is the perfect fit.
In addition to special entrees, of which the chimichanga is one, El Maguey also offers Chicken from the Grill, Steaks, Seafood and Street Tacos six ways. On Taco Tuesdays, diners can save significantly on a selection of street tacos or traditional beef or shredded chicken tacos.
Watching the sun set over the lake, eating tacos and sipping a margarita – it really is the best of summer.
