STAGES St. Louis has been entertaining audiences for decades, and is showing no signs of slowing down. This year, STAGES is simultaneously celebrating its 35th anniversary season, and the first season in its new home at the state-of-the-art Kirkwood Performing Arts Center.
“Executive Producer Jack Lane and Artistic Director Michael Hamilton started STAGES in 1987 to fill the need for a mid-size professional theatre company in the St. Louis region,” Andrew Kuhlman, STAGES associate producer, said. “Today, STAGES professionals have produced 103 musicals, or nearly 3,400 performances, for over a million patrons.”
To celebrate their 35th Anniversary Season, STAGES is presenting the biggest hit in their history, “Always … Patsy Cline” along with “Jersey Boys”, which is new to STAGES audience.
“Always… Patsy Cline” tells the story of the unlikely friendship between Texas housewife, Louise Seger, and country music icon Patsy Cline. Running Aug. 6-Sept. 5, the production stars Broadway and American Idol star, Diana DeGarmo, and STAGES fan favorite, Zoe Vonder Haar.
“Jersey Boys” follows the true story of the creation of the legendary 1960’s group Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The production will run Sept. 24-Oct. 24 and features hits like “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, and more.
