Lutheran High sprints to success

Earlier this month, Lutheran High’s boys track and field team brought home the fourth place trophy from the Class 3 state championship, which was held Saturday, May 29 in Jefferson City. In addition to the team trophy, six Lutheran High student-athletes received all-state recognition for their award-winning performances.

Recognition was given to Caleb Lind, fourth in both the 1600 meter and 3200 meter; Clyde Clark was third in the discus. Brison Beck was second in the 300 meter hurdles, third in the 400 meter and eighth in both the 110 meter hurdles and the 200 meter. Brody Hudson was seventh in the 800 meter. 

Recognition was also given to relay team members Travis Fruend, Noah McMullen, Lind and Hudson placed fifth in 4 x 800 meter. 

Sakoya Johnson took second in the Girls 200 meter and fifth place in the 100 meter.
