On behalf of the Home Builders Charitable Foundation, the HBA of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri presented a $12,500 donation to Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County to assist with the nonprofit’s 2021 build season. Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County strives to  provide decent, safe, affordable and sustainable housing to deserving local families. The HBA is a local trade association of more than 600 member firms. The Home Builders Charitable Foundation is the HBA’s charitable arm, dedicated to providing housing assistance to people or organizations with shelter needs.

Boone Center, Inc., a nonprofit that supports people with disabilities through innovative employment opportunities, has opened Andrew’s Outfield, an outdoor patio space that honors former BCI employee Andrew Norton and features ADA accessible picnic tables, park-style benches, and eight seats from the old Busch Stadium. Andrew’s Outfield is an extension of Andrew’s Clubhouse, a St. Louis Cardinals-themed indoor break room, which was dedicated in August 2017.

On April 1, St. Louis resident, Sheryl Peterson opened her first Exercise Coach location at 1281 Jungermann Road in St. Peters. Outfitted with proprietary, high-tech computerized machines instead of traditional equipment, The Exercise Coach’s personalized programs are optimized for efficiency, resulting in only two 20-minute workouts per week. The Exercise Coach’s robotic exercise technology is combined with the guidance of certified coaches. The studio blends personalized strength and interval cardio training in each session.


Jaclyn Norono-Rodriguez has been elected to the board of directors of The Contract Packaging Association. Norono-Rodriguez is director of sales at BCI Packaging, a for-purpose contract packaging and light manufacturing company and division of Boone Center, Inc. in St. Peters. The association is the national trade organization representing contract packagers and manufacturers. Directors serve a two-year term, providing leadership to guide the association’s activities, operation, and direction.

Brad Hilton, of St. Charles, has joined Wiegmann Associates as project engineer. He is responsible for designing energy-efficient, cost-effective and high-performing HVAC systems. Hilton previously interned with U.S. Steel as a mechanical engineer.

The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and Industries holds its membership luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 at Whitmoor Country Club, 1100 Whitmoor Drive in Weldon Spring.
