St. Peters Senior Living Community approved

O’Reilly Development Group, LLC, has been authorized to proceed with the development of land for and construction of St. Peters Senior Living Community on approximately 6.71 acres of land, located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Harvester Road and Woodstone Drive.

After its meeting on Nov. 4, the Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended approval of the rezoning of this land from C3 – General Commercial District to C3 – Planned Urban Development (PUD), for the proposed use of senior residential – multiple family residences and nursing home.

At the Nov. 12 Board of Aldermen meeting, Bill No. 20-135 to approve the rezoning and authorize this development was passed by a vote of 5-0. Absent were aldermen Patrick Barclay [Ward 4], Rocky Reitmeyer [Ward 1], and Melissa Reimer [Ward 3].

The building will have one wing for independent living that is four stories, one wing for assisted living that is two stories, and one wing for memory care that is one story.  The building will include 91 independent senior living units, 44 assisted living units and 18 memory care units, for a total of 153 units. There are no income-related limits or requirements on occupancy.

The property owner and developer must submit to the city for its approval all necessary plans for the installation of public streets, streetlights, stormwater and sanitary sewers, water lines, sidewalks, street signs and other public structures as required for a PUD. 

The developer also must submit for approval a final plat plan, meeting all building and easement ordinances associated with a PUD.  Landscaping must be substantially as approved on the site development plan.
