Variety Theatre will host its new virtual production, Light the Lights, on four consecutive nights in November.
This one-hour virtual musical will showcase a variety of performances, backstage interviews and magical Variety Theatre moments featuring children from the St. Louis community. The program will be available offered for free at 7 p.m. on Nov. 16, 17, 18 and 19. Registration is required at VarietySTL.org/LTL.
St. Louis’ finest professional actors, singers, and dancers will tell the Variety Theatre story with their performances in this innovative, inclusive production company.
Variety Theatre is the only one of its kind in the country, one that gives children and teens of all abilities the opportunity to realize their musical theater dreams.
Variety Theatre is a program of Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis, which envisions a world where abilities are redefined and opportunities are reimagined for Variety kids and their families. Along with other Variety programs for critical medical equipment, therapy and recreation, it provides new skills, socialization, independence and self-esteem.
Established in 2009, Variety Theatre productions include a live professional orchestra and some of St. Louis’ finest designers, directors and actors, including Tony-nominated director Lara Teeter.
In 2018, Variety Theatre Executive Producer Jan Albus and Lara Teeter were presented with the St. Louis Theater Circle Award for Variety Theatre’s Body of Work. Learn more at www.varietystl.org
