Gail Thompson, administrative director of nursing operations at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis, was recently presented with the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes nurses who have devoted their life’s work to the care of others. Recipients are nominated for their dedication to nursing through active mentoring, role modeling, advocating for their patients and promoting the positive image of nursing. To be considered for the award, nurses must meet certain criteria, including 25 years or more of service.
