Indoor baseball training facility approved in O’Fallon

The O’Fallon City Council has approved creation of an indoor baseball training facility in the end unit of the existing Rustique Building at 1306 Rustique Square in O’Fallon, just north of the I-64 outer road. The facility will be operated by Xtreme Baseball, LLC, moving their existing business from Chesterfield to O’Fallon.

The facility will include a lobby, office, batting cages and a performance and training area. Business hours will be from 3-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

At the Sept. 24 O’Fallon City Council meeting, Bill No. 7228, sponsored by Ward 3 council members Dale Kling and Nathan Bibb, was approved by a vote of 10-0.  The bill grants a conditional use permit to allow a commercial recreation facility in an area zoned C2/General Business District.

Mid Rivers Newsmagazine had published a detailed story about this on Sept. 16.
