Starbucks coffee shop approved for Bryan Crossing

BFA, Inc. of Washington, Missouri, applied for a conditional use permit to allow a 2,200-square-foot Starbucks coffee shop/restaurant with a drive-thru at Bryan Crossing, Lot 2 [east side of Bryan Road, south of Interstate 70, just south of the Phillips 66 station] in O’Fallon. The property currently is an undeveloped commercial lot.

At the council meeting on July 23, Bill No. 7204 sponsored by Ward 5 council members Debbie Cook and Katie Gatewood was approved by a vote of 9-0 to grant the conditional use permit. Council member Jeff Kuehn (Ward 4) was excused.

The new business will be open from 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will have between 25 and 30 full-time and part-time employees. Store hours and the number of employees will be adjusted based on demand.

Planning & Zoning had recommended approval.
