Mental health guidance in times of need

 Jan Gilmore

If you are experiencing anxiety, a panic attack or depression, waiting days for an appointment with a therapist or psychiatrist can seem too long. Sometimes you need to talk now. This is where Mental Health Mentor Jan Gilmore comes in. Individuals in distress can call Jan from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Jan is not just a kind voice and good listener. She speaks from a place of experience as a life coach who personally lives with mental illness.

Jan takes each call personally – no scheduling or appointment needed. She coaches individuals on life skills like managing anxiety, building distress tolerance, managing triggers, listening effectively, setting boundaries and developing communication skills that can help facilitate better mental health in the future.

“I can help them identify what’s going on, when it’s going on” Jan said. “No need to wait for the next appointment.”

No more spending a week keeping track of all the topics you want to discuss at an appointment. With Jan, you just call when the topic comes to mind. Most calls last about 40 minutes, but if you need more time, keep talking. “I want to help people” Jan said. “I know what it’s like to need to talk with someone.”

Having a panic attack? Pick up the phone and call Jan; she’ll help you work through it.

Jan charges a flat rate of $15 per call, and for first time clients, that first call is free of charge.
