United Way of Greater St. Louis announced today that Freddie Steinbach, president of JHS Financial, Inc., will serve as chair for United Way of Greater St. Louis – West Region’s annual community campaign.
“As our community grapples with the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, United Way’s role in the community is more important than ever,” Steinbach said. “By supporting a safety net of nonprofits that help people, United Way is working to help our neighbors and communities recover and rebuild. It is an honor to be part of this important effort.”
Prior to joining JHS Financial, Steinbach led ESM Marketing STL’s business relationship management division, developing strong and long-lasting business partnerships between organizations and investors. He previously served as mayor of Chesterfield.
Steinbach has a long history of service to United Way, including serving on United Way of Greater St. Louis’ board of directors and leading the West Region’s campaign in 2017.
“We are grateful to have Freddie lead the West Region’s campaign once again this year,” said Michelle Tucker, president and CEO of United Way of Greater St. Louis. “This year will require unprecedented efforts to help respond to the complex challenges our community is facing, and we hope, like Freddie, others will step up to lend a hand to our neighbors in need.”
Steinbach is also actively involved through a variety of roles in many community organizations, including the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, Fontbonne University and St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. He is the former president of the board of directors for Jewish Family and Children’s Services and previously served as secretary for the board of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation St. Louis Chapter.
United Way’s West Region serves the Western St. Louis, St. Charles, Warren and Lincoln counties.
