Districts welcome new administrators

Both the Francis Howell and Fort Zumwalt school districts welcomed new administrators for the new year.

During its June 18 meeting, Francis Howell School District’s Board of Education approved the hiring of three new administrators. Ramone West was selected as the new administrative intern at Independence Elementary. West currently serves as an assistant principal at Carondelet Leadership Academy in St. Louis. Julie Vahle will serve as the new part-time administrative intern at John Weldon Elementary. Vahle currently serves as a music teacher at John Weldon and has been with the district for seven years. Suzanna Zerr has been selected as the new part-time administrative intern at Harvest Ridge Elementary. Zerr is currently an instructional coach at Harvest Ridge and has also taught in the Sullivan and Lincoln County R-III school districts.

The Fort Zumwalt School District also authorized some administrative changes on June 29. These include the appointment of John Barrow, executive director of Intervention and Behavior Support Services; Stephanie Sanker, curriculum coordinator for elementary English language arts; Dave Brown, principal at Mount Hope Elementary; Kathryn Bullock, special services coordinator; Heather Mueller, principal at Forest Park Elementary, Michelle Prather, principal at Lewis & Clark Elementary; Tanya Deering, principal at Mike Clemens Center for Adaptive Learning; Casey Olearnick, assistant principal at North High; Tyler Horner, assistant principal at North High; and Beth Sutton, administrative intern at the Mike Clemens Center for Adaptive Learning.
