A record plat and site plan have been approved for the Watermark Apartments complex at 1147 Technology Drive in the southern part of O’Fallon.
At the June City Council meeting, Bill No. 7193 sponsored by Ward 3 council members Dale Kling and Nathan Bibb was given a second reading, then approved by a vote of 9-1, with council member Debbie Cook [Ward 5] opposed.
As background to the bill, the Planning & Zoning Commission had confirmed that the developer has paid $250,000 to the city for required improvements to the intersection at Weldon Spring Road and Crusher Drive to handle the expected increase in traffic volume.
The plat and site plans for 19.112 currently undeveloped acres include a multi-family residential development with 316 dwelling units. 2.02 unused acres remain zoned as C-2 PUD. The property fronts on Weldon Spring Road and Crusher Road.
