Work to install a high-friction surface treatment is planned overnight for Jungermannn Road north of Willott Road near Anthony’s Produce.
The work will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, and is expected to be complete by 7 a.m. on Friday, June 12.
The project will require lane closures throughout the night. Drivers are asked to use caution when driving through the work zone.
According to the city of St. Peters, the new surface will provide for safer travel through this curved portion of Jungermann.
Other safety enhancements are planned for this area of Jungermann Road, including a push-button activated flashing pedestrian crossing sign at the entrance to Spencer Creek Apartments. Pedestrians will be able to activate a beacon light to signal to drivers on Jungermann when they are crossing the street. Reflective, inlaid pavement markers also will be installed on Jungermann to improve lane visibility.
