Local police department collects, distributes protective gear to other precincts

The Lake Saint Louis Police Department is currently collecting personal protective equipment [PPE] items to be distributed to law enforcement agencies in the greater St. Louis area.

The project is called the Law Enforcement Supply Project and is being organized by Gateway Human Trafficking, an agency dedicated to raising the awareness of human trafficking in St. Louis and St. Charles through education, sponsored events and public conferences.

Gateway Human Trafficking is also receiving the donations to purchase items that are available for the cause as well.

The Lake Saint Louis Police Department was selected as the hub for all the donations that are being distributed to other police departments as needed.

In-demand PPE items include:

  1. N-95 or higher-level respirator or facemask
  2. Surgical masks
  3. Eye protection [i.e., goggles or disposable face shield that fully covers the front and sides of the face]
  4. Disposable patient examination gloves
  5. Disposable Coverall Suits
  6. Disposable Boot Covers
  7. Lysol spray
  8. Cleaning Wipes
  9. Hand Sanitizer
  10. 70% and up Isopropyl Alcohol

Some recipients that have already received donations include the police departments of St. Peters, O’Fallon, Foristell and more.
