O’Fallon continues growing along its southern border

The city of O’Fallon received an application for voluntary annexation of Lombardo Homes’ soon-to-be-built 116.618-acre subdivision named Amberleigh, generally located at 1370 Diehr Road, and currently part of unincorporated St. Charles County.

The Lombardo property is located on the southwest side of Diehr Road, across from the existing Wyndgate subdivision that already is part of O’Fallon.

Amberleigh will be served by the Public Water Supply District 2 and by Duckett Creek Sanitary District Sewer.  Diehr Road is a St. Charles County maintained roadway.

City staff recommended approval of this application,

Bill No. 7176 to grant this voluntary annexation was sponsored by Ward 3 council members Dale Kling and Nathan Bibb. The bill was given a first reading at the Feb. 27 council meeting.  If the usual process is followed, a second reading and vote for final passage will be at the council’s next meeting on March 12.
