Area churches open their kitchens for fish fries during Lent

Fish fries take place at the following locations on Fridays throughout Lent. Lent takes place from Wednesday, Feb. 26 through Thursday, April 9:

Sts. Joachim & Ann Church, 4110 McClay Road in St. Peters, from 4-7 p.m. in the school building. Menu items include a choice of cod, catfish, baked fish fillet or crab, plus three butterflied shrimp, a cup of soup, three sides and a dessert. Immaculate Conception, 7717 Hwy. N in Dardenne Prairie, from 4:30-8 p.m. Menu items include fried cod, fried Cajun catfish and breaded lemon pepper cod. Sides include apple sauce, coleslaw, French fries, hush puppies, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, green beans, ice cream and more. Dine-in and carry-out options are available.
