Elderly or disabled St. Peters residents could qualify to have their lawns mowed up to 10 times between April and October through the city’s Lawn Mowing Assistance Program.
Applications for the program will become available Monday, Feb. 3 and must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
To qualify, homeowners must meet established guidelines and income levels. Everyone living in the home must be at least 62 years old or severely disabled. Applicants are required to provide proof of income. The maximum household income must not exceed the following levels: One-person household [$28,500], two-person household [$32,550], three-person household [$36,600], four-person household [$40,650].
To download an application for the program, visit stpetersmo.net. From the home page, click on “Residents” and scroll to “Community Programs.” Next, select “Lawn Mowing Assistance.”
Prior to Feb. 3, you can request to have an application mailed to you. To do so, call (636) 279-8279 and choose Option 4. Be sure to spell your name and provide your street address and phone number.
Completed applications with required documents must be returned to St. Peters City Hall before 5 p.m. on Feb. 14. Applicants may also email completed applications, with required documents, to email@example.com.
Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are used for the Lawn Mowing Assistance Program Funds and will be disbursed based on lowest income first.
