Registration is now open for the annual 5K Shamrock Run sponsored by the Cottleville Firefighters Outreach.

The cost to register between now and Feb. 29 is $30. That cost will increase after March 1. Runners will receive a Fleet Feet St. Louis RFID bib, a commemorative shirt and for runners over age 21 a malt beverage at the finish line.

The run begins at Cottleville Fire District Station No. 1 and ends at Legacy Park. The route, new this year, promises to be fun for amateur runners and families as well as more serious contenders. It’s path leads through “an enchanted park, over a whimsical stream and around slumbering lakes,” according to race organizers.

Runners are invited to stay after to enjoy a great vantage point along the 1.5 mile Shamrock Parade route.

Register at raceroster.com by searching for “Cottleville.”
