Andrews Academy in Lake Saint Louis recently made the decision to add new seventh and eighth grade classes to their growing school. The decision was partially due to requests from parents asking the school to extend the continuum of education. Andrews Academy is a preeminent and independent non-denominational school located in St. Charles County.
Another reason for adding the seventh and eighth-grade classes is so the new students can also serve as ambassadors for the academy. Eighth-grade ambassadors will connect with the community through shadowing experiences, which will allow them to observe an area of interest to gather information, experience a variety of professions, and refine interpersonal skills.
“At a period of development when students may become complacent about school, our students are inspired to ask questions, to think critically, to formulate answers and to be actively engaged in their own learning,” Head of School Nanette Reasoner said. “Our students demonstrate a genuine respect for others, the environment, our community, and an enthusiasm for learning.”
