Axe-throwing facility approved for Bryan Road strip mall

Axe throwing will be coming to O’Fallon.  Bill No. 7132 sponsored by council members Jeff Kuehn and Dr. Jim Ottomeyer [both of Ward 4] received an affirmative vote of 10 to 0 at the Oct. 24 City Council meeting.

The bill grants a conditional use permit for Gadell Global LLC, of Fenton, to operate an indoor axe-throwing recreational facility at 1240 Bryan Road, in the vacant end unit of the Hillman Farm Plaza strip mall.  The location is just south of the Walgreens store located at the intersection of Bryan and Mexico roads and is the former location of Anytime Fitness.

The firefighter-owned and operated business will be named The Axe House (same as two other Axe House locations already open in Valley Park and Columbia, MO).  Customers will be able to throw axes, ninja stars and cards at targets. Patrons will be able to bring beer and wine only onto the premises under an Axe House BYOB liquor license; no alcohol will be sold by the business.

Mid Rivers Newsmagazine previously published a story about this on October 15.
