Lutheran High sophomore James Kelly is one of the students who received the Glory of Missouri Award for Progress from the Missouri House of Representatives. Kelly was nominated by Missouri State Rep. Bryan Spencer [R-Wentzville.]

The Glory of Missouri Award recognizes students who display acts of virtue as both students and citizens in the community. The students honored represent one of the virtues of good government, which are engraved on the walls of the House Chamber. They include charity, enterprise, temperance, virtue, truth, honor, progress, education, fraternity, justice, law, equality, liberty and knowledge.

“As Missouri legislators, we are committed to government with these virtues and want to acknowledge outstanding students who exemplify them in the school as well as throughout the community,” Spencer said.

“Glory awards represent the greatest values that we Missourians hold dear,” added Rep. Justin Hill, [R-St. Charles]. “They are a great way to exemplify the very best of our students.”
