At the Dardenne Prairie Board of Aldermen meeting on Oct. 16, a bill was approved by a vote of 6 to 0, authorizing a municipal election for April 7, 2020. Three aldermanic seats, one from each ward, will be up for election.
Board seats that will be up for election or re-election, if the board member files, are Dave Wandling [Ward 1], Justin Ungerboeck [Ward 2] and Dan Koch [Ward 3]. All are for two-year terms.
The first day of filing for this election is Tuesday, Dec. 17. Filing will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020. All filings must be received by the city clerk during at city hall during regular office hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no fee for filing.
No person will be placed on the ballot if they are not qualified for office as provided by state law or city ordinances. No person shall be elected or sworn into office who is not qualified for such office as provided by state law or city ordinances.
