Lest we forget. The First Responders Memorial located behind O’Fallon’s City Hall, 100 North Main Street, honors America’s First Responders.

The First Responders Memorial located behind O’Fallon’s City Hall, 100 North Main Street, was dedicated in 2005 as a memorial to America’s First Responders. The 17-foot monument was created from 22 tons of steel salvaged from the destruction of New York City’s World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. A plaque listing the victims of the terrorist attacks on the nation includes the names of 346 firefighters and 37 police officers who perished as they attempted to rescue victims trapped in the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers.
