Falling in step with many other municipalities in St. Charles County, the city of Dardenne Prairie is also evaluating business and zoning standards related to medical marijuana facilities and dispensaries within city limits.
According to Dardenne Prairie Mayor David Zucker, the city plans to conduct a public hearing about medical marijuana at the city’s regularly scheduled Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Another public hearing will be held at the city’s Board of Aldermen meeting on Wednesday Sept. 18.
According to Zucker, the city will have a draft proposal in early September for any possible zoning changes to accommodate medical marijuana facilities. Other variables to be discussed will include the permitted locations of facilities as well as dispensary operations, including cultivation and production.
Agendas for those meetings will be released according to the usual schedule.
