At its Aug. 21 meeting, the Dardenne Prairie Board of Aldermen approved a site plan for a new chiropractic facility, named Midwest Family Wellness, to be built on a vacant parcel of land generally located at 1755 Stump Road, where Stump intersects Feise Road.

Listed as parcel # T061800069 on the assessor’s site, the 0.77 acres of land is located between a “strip mall” of businesses at 1646 Bryan Road on the west and Stump Road on the east.

Per the developer’s design engineer Paul Boyer said the pre-engineered metal building will be just under 5,000 square feet and will have a stone veneer on the west side [front] of the building.  The back of the building will have a fairly “stark” appearance where it faces the homes on the east side of Stump Road.  The developer has agreed to plant bushes and hedges along the back side of the building to improve its appearance. Those will be in addition to the red bud and red maples trees they will plant on the Stump Road side of the property. The parking lot will have 25 slots.

The board passed the bill by a vote of 5 to 0 with Alderman John Gotway [Ward 3] excused.
