Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles announced it will be one of the new stops in the 2019-2020 World Series of Poker U.S. Circuit Schedule. Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles returns as a new host property for the first time since 2015. The tournament runs Aug. 29 through Sept. 9.

Doug Tracy, general manager and CEO of Cuivre River Electric Cooperative in Troy, was among representatives from over 800 electric cooperatives nationwide who visited Capitol Hill during a conference to discuss a range of issues, including the development of rural communities in any infrastructure package and protecting electric co-ops’ tax-exempt status. Tracy was selected as one of five CEOs from Missouri to lead discussion groups for five members of Congress.

St. Charles resident Lisa Feldhaus has been appointed as dispatch coordinator for Murphy Company. Feldhaus has more than 25 years of experience in customer service, most recently within the HVAC industry.

St. Charles resident Brian Bredensteiner has been named executive vice president of retail and customer engagement for First State Bank. Bredensteiner has 27 years of financial experience. A graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Bredensteiner holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.
