The owners of the St. Louis Outlet Mall, formerly St. Louis Mills, have begun to evict the mall’s remaining in tenants in light of property negotiations and impending closure.
Namdar Realty Group, the New York-based owners of the mall, last week gave 30 days for remaining tenants to vacate. Mall anchors Ice Zone and Cabela’s have stated they will remain open.
The shopping center is in Hazelwood off of Route 370. The 1.2 million-square-foot mall opened in 2003 with an estimated cost of $250 million and room for 200 tenants. By 2016, the mall’s occupancy rate was down to 77%. Namdar purchased the mall that February for about $4.4 million.
