Mexico Road resurfacing, pedestrian bridge approved

At its May 23 meeting, the O’Fallon City Council voted 9 to 0, with one council member excused, to approve Phase 3 of the Mexico Road resurfacing and pedestrian bridge project.

The project includes resurfacingMexico Road from Hwy. K to Bryan Road, installing Americans With Disabilities Act improvements at roadway intersections, and constructing a pedestrian bridge over the creek near Woodlawn Avenue.  The pedestrian bridge will require acquisition of new right-of-way, permanent easements and temporary construction easements from various property owners.
