Turning Point Advocacy Services holds one signature fundraising event a year, Boots ’n Bling. This year’s event was April 12 at the Innsbrook Aspen Center.
We are tremendously grateful to all the sponsoring businesses and individuals, those who gave auction items, guests who purchased tickets to attend, and the host of people who assisted in too many ways to mention.
This collective support pushed us past our ambitious goal of $50,000. The generosity and good will made for a wonderful evening. Guests stayed throughout, closing with some pretty entertaining dancing, whether you were on the dance floor or just watching.
The money raised at Boots ’n Bling every year is an essential piece of the complex puzzle of revenue that funds safe, clean beds in our emergency shelter; a 24-hour hotline; court advocacy and life skills programming; and group and private counseling sessions. Turning Point’s service area includes Montgomery, Gasconade, Franklin, Lincoln, Warren, and the western part of St. Charles counties.
Thanks to tremendous community support, we continue to raise awareness about the costs of domestic violence in tragically scarred lives, as well as its fiscal impact. We are proud of the work Turning Point does to help survivors build safer futures.
