Francis Howell schools recognized for PLTW

The Francis Howell School District also announced that Francis Howell High, Francis Howell Central High and Francis Howell North High have all been named Project Lead The Way [PLTW] Distinguished Schools for 2018-2019. The three Francis Howell School District schools are among 12 other high schools in Missouri to receive the distinction for 2018-2019, and all three schools are among 50 high schools in the nation to be recognized for two consecutive years.

“Our teachers, students, leaders, and parents have worked diligently to build our PLTW program,” Dr. Luke Lammers, Francis Howell School District director of secondary education, said. “Offering and expanding several PLTW programs and seeing high levels of student success reflects the District’s commitment to college and career readiness. Preparing students for the modern economy is important work. It’s nice to see that work recognized.”

PLTW’s recognition program is designed to honor districts and schools committed to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in PLTW programs.
