At the O’Fallon City Council Workshop and meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28, Public Assistance Specialist Alexis Jaegers presented the 2018 highlights of the O’Fallon Community Development Block Grant [CDBG] and HOME programs.

O’Fallon continued last year to help its neediest residents through programs including home repair and improvement via 5-year, zero interest, forgivable loans; down payment assistance; emergency homeless prevention via Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service; community planning to identify unmet needs of homeless and low-to-moderate income residents; senior citizen transportation via OATS; disabled transportation assistance; and Americans with Disabilities Act [ADA] Assistance via shared paths along Hwy. K.

Those programs are funded year-by-year.  The 2018 funding totaled $298,879.
