Human trafficking survivor speaks at Care Service event

Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service Social Justice in Action will present Marti MacGibbon, an internationally acclaimed, award-winning author and human trafficking advocate at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 at Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service, 4116 McClay Road in St. Charles.

MacGibbon will bring her high-powered story of “Human Trafficking: Victim to Triumphant Survivor,” a testimony to the power of the human spirit. She offers simple, effective strategies that anyone can use to get back on track, build resiliency, reduce stress and cultivate a sense of humor.”
The event is free and open to the public. A book signing follows at the close of the event.

The Maryville University Gospel Choir also will perform.

Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service is a nationally accredited non-profit, 501[c][3], faith-based social service organization and is the largest comprehensive social support agency in the region serving St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties.
