On Nov. 27, Syberg’s Family of Restaurants opened the doors to its newly remodeled restaurant and bar at 5856 Suemandy Drive in St. Peters. The family of restaurants is led by Kirk, Rick and Brett Syberg, who collectively have over 100 years of restaurant experience.

New Country 92.3’s [WIL] Celebration of Trees event at the Ameristar Casino & Spa raised $102,000 toward construction costs of a new Habitat for Humanity home in St. Charles County in 2019. Additionally, the station’s morning team raised $170,000 for Habitat for Humanity St. Charles County.


The O’Fallon Chamber of Business & Industries have added the following new board members: Caleb Hunter, Extreme Electrical; Mike Elam, St. Charles County Council; Elizabeth Wade, U.S. Bank; Heather Patterson, Bridge Insurance, and Jan Stanczak, Travel Leaders/Jan’s Travel.

Lindenwood graduate Angela Stratton has joined Meramec Valley Bank as associate vice president/retail and facility manager. In this position, Stratton is focused primarily on retail sales and marketing for the bank, as well as managing her team at the bank’s Ellisville location.

O’Fallon resident Erica Boyd has joined Knoebel Construction as an accounting coordinator. Boyd is responsible for analyzing and reporting financial data, as well as preparing and reviewing application-for-payment documents. She holds a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Missouri.

The Missouri Community College Association [MCCA] has recognized Rep. Bryan Spencer [District 63] with its Distinguished Legislator Award. This award is reserved for community colleges’ biggest advocates in the Missouri Legislature. Rep. Spencer was recognized for his work on expanding access to higher education from St. Charles Community College to Warren County. MCCA also recognized  SCC professor of psychology Marvin Tobias with the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award is presented annually for outstanding instructors from each community college campus in Missouri for work done during the previous year. Lisa Mouser, director of technology support at SCC, was awarded the Senior Service Award. This award is presented to a long-serving employee from each of Missouri’s community colleges. Recipients are recommended for the award by their college president or chancellor.


The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries hosts a membership luncheon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Piazza Messina. 5553 Hwy. N in Cottleville. Registration is $20 in advance; $25 after the Friday before the event and includes lunch. Register online at ofallonchamber.org.
