O’Fallon native’s art on display at Fontbonne

By: Ellen Lampe

Fontbonne graduate student Lauren Arens, of O’Fallon, poses next to her artwork-in-progress as she prepares for the Fontbonne University Fine Arts Exhibition.

For the next few days, an O’Fallon native’s art will be on display to the public at Fontbonne University at a special Fine Arts Exhibition.

The exhibition showcases the work of Fontbonne’s undergraduate-senior and master’s-level artists now through Dec. 15 at the university’s Gallery of Art, Fine Arts Building, 6800 Wydown Blvd. in St. Louis.

There, you’ll see the work of O’Fallon native and Fontbonne graduate student Lauren Arens.

Each student will share 4-8 pieces. One of Arens’ pieces depicts North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un surrounded by fireworks and rockets.

The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon-4 p.m. on Saturday.
