Prospective homebuyers will get their first look this weekend at plans for the much-anticipated Villages at Sandfort Farm, a joint undertaking by three well-known builders – Lombardo Homes, McKelvey Homes and Payne Family Homes.
Located between Zumbehl and Truman Roads, directly north of Interstate 70 in St. Charles, the 125-acre property was the largest undeveloped tract remaining in the highly desirable vicinity. The new master-planned community will feature 253 homesites, recreational facilities and a variety of single-family designs by the participating builders, with an anticipated value in excess of $100 million when completed.
All three home builders will be opening for pre-sales Nov. 10. A grand opening is planned for Jan. 12, 2019.
Lombardo Homes will be offering a selection of plans from its upscale Traditions and Nature series; McKelvey Homes will showcase the firm’s top-selling Designer Series; and Payne Family Homes will be introducing an all-new portfolio of detached villa homes.
The Villages at Sandfort Farm is designed for homeowner privacy, with numerous cul-de-sacs radiating from a single main boulevard. Planned recreational amenities include more than 33 acres of common ground, walking trails, a playground and a swim complex with 3,900-square-foot pool house.
Preserving the legacy of the land has been an important factor for the home builders, St. Charles City officials and the Sandfort family, whose ancestors had owned the historic property since 1887. As a result, the original farmhouse, built in the 1830s, and several other unique structures will be retained by the Sandforts, lending character to the new community.
Sandfort Farm is scheduled to open for pre-sales this weekend from the builders’ nearby neighborhoods. Lombardo will open from Patriot’s Ridge; Payne family Homes and McKelvey Homes will handle pre-sales from the Villages of Provence. Meanwhile, interested buyers can register for advance information on the community’s website liveatsandfortfarm.com, or on the builders’ respective websites.
