Police are searching for two male suspects involved in a carjacking in River Bend Estates, located off Upper Bottom Road and near Page Avenue in Frontier Township, on Sept. 18 at around 4:30 a.m.
It was reported by St. Charles County police that two women inside a Range Rover SVR reportedly saw a small silver car following behind them as they drove toward River Bend Estates. The suspects’ vehicle was reportedly following them through neighborhood streets with its lights turned off.
The driver pulled into her home’s garage once they arrived at the subdivision. The suspects’ silver car reportedly then parked in a neighboring driveway. The victims were then confronted by two armed men in the garage. The women were robbed of multiple items, including cash, credit cards and the SUV. No one was injured during the incident.
According to Val Joyner, Public Information Officer with the St. Charles County Police Department, the stolen Range Rover SVR was reportedly recovered a few hours later at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the 6000 block of Washington Avenue in St. Louis. However, no suspects have officially been apprehended and the investigation is ongoing.
Police describe the suspects as two black males, about 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches in height, and 130 to 150 pounds. The suspects were last seen wearing black and gray hoodies. The suspects were armed at the time of the robbery. As of press time, the suspects have not been arrested.
