Golf club to close temporarily this fall

St. Peters Golf Club will close to the public beginning Nov. 5 through approximately Dec. 20 in order to demolish the old golf and banquet facility and install a new parking lot.

After the old building is demolished and the new expanded parking lot is completed, St. Peters Golf Club will resume golf operations out of a temporary location until the opening of the new Golf & Banquet Center in spring 2019.

The new Golf & Banquet Center facility will offer banquet/meeting facilities with seating for up to 350 people, plus extra outdoor event space including a tournament pavilion structure that can seat up to 150 people; a clubhouse with a bar and grill and pro shop; multiple verandas and a large deck with lake views.

The Golf & Banquet Center project was approved by St. Peters voters in 2016 with passage of the Proposition Q bond issue. It replaces a decades-old structure that officials said had become high-maintenance.
