Portion of Woodstream Drive to close temporarily

The St. Charles County Highway Department will close Woodstream Drive between Weatherton Place and Attleboro Court beginning Monday, Sept. 17 to allow for removal and replacement of a box culvert.

The closure area is located approximately 0.2 miles north of North St. Peters Parkway [outer road of Route 364].

Traffic will be required to use a detour route around the closure for approximately 1.5 months while the new box culvert is constructed. The project is expected to be fully completed by Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Local traffic can access Woodstream Drive on either side of the closure location, but no through traffic will be permitted. The Highway Department will place changeable message boards notifying motorists of the closure, necessary detours, and any closure or opening date changes.

This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the traveling public.
