HBA Executive Vice President Celeste Rueter [right] presented a $10,000 donation to Rip Grasser, vice president of Grasser Electric and board member for The Loyal Order of Squirrels.

The Home Builders Charitable Foundation recently presented a $10,000 donation to The Loyal Order of Squirrels, a not-for-profit organization that seeks to provide support for the elderly, handicapped and children of St. Charles County.

Several area members of Veterans Fishing for Veterans helped 65 special guests enjoy a day away from a hospital or group home setting while being outdoors fishing. Volunteers included Mike Wommack, Emil Smith, Larry Robinson, Mike Intlekofer, George Conner, Rich Eder, Ray Lopez, Roger Macom, Dave Deeken, Jerry Green and Charlie Stueber. Cuivre River Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up program donated $400 to help sponsor the annual event.

Kroll

Paramedic Dave Kroll, of the St. Charles County Ambulance District [SCCAD] has received the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association’s 2018 Community Service Award for his commitment to increasing cardiac arrest survival rates. Kroll oversees SCCAD’s Lifesaver CPR effort, which trains thousands of individuals annually in hands-only CPR and choking relief.

Lindenwood University has named Lisa O’Brien Enger as vice president for university relations beginning Sept. 1. O’Brien Enger will direct the university’s marketing, communication, development and alumni relations efforts. She has more than 20 years of senior leadership and management experience, including executive director positions at the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure St. Louis affiliate, and the United Soybean Board.

Prados Lake Saint Louis reports that construction at its restaurant and bar at The Meadows is coming along nicely. The facility is slated to open October 2018.

Construction on Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen 6475 Ronald Reagan Drive in Lake Saint Louis began Aug. 27 with an estimated completion in about 90 days.
