St. Peters’ Citizens Police Academy begins in September

The St. Peters Police Department is hosting a Citizens Police Academy course from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on consecutive Wednesday evenings from Sept. 19 through Dec. 19 [excluding Oct. 31 and Nov. 21] at the St. Peters Justice Center, 1020 Grand Teton Drive in St. Peters. The Citizens Police Academy provides an opportunity for citizens to learn about local policing. 

The course includes a tour of the police department, a four-hour ride-along, and information sessions on patrol operations, dispatch, traffic stops, crime scene investigations, SWAT, DWI enforcement, controlled substance investigations and more.

The 12-week course costs $30. Attendees must be 18 years or older.
