Grove Collaborative ribbon cutting

Grove Collaborative, a natural home products company which delivers products directly to consumers, cut the ribbon on their new 137,000-square-foot fulfillment center in St. Peters in mid-July. The new facility represents $3,708,500 in total capital investment and is expected to create 210 new jobs in the region.


Ellen Reed, executive director of Turning Point Advocacy Services, has announced her retirement. The organization held a celebration in her honor on July 27 and launched the Ellen G. Reed Legacy of 100 Sparkling Lights fund. Additionally, the nonprofit has added John Armstrong and Mary Salois to its governing board. Turning Point serves individuals and families in Franklin, Gasconade, Lincoln, Montgomery, Warren and western St. Charles counties.

St. Charles resident and business owner Miranda Bell has been named to The Sparrow’s Nest Teen Maternity Home board of directors. Bell is the co-owner and business manager of Rhythm & Thyme Mobile Kitchen.

George W. Sheets recently assumed the role of fire chief for the city of Saint Charles Fire Department. Sheets has more than 36 years of fire and emergency medical service experience, serving 22 of those years as a fire chief.
